Yes, definitely a more positive day than yesterday.

The main thing I've done all day is cook food. New Year's resolution number 9 was to cook more from the cookbooks I owned, so I have made apple bread and some dhaba chicken. A dhaba is a food stall/restaurant in India, where traditionally only truckers used to stop and eat. However, they've become more and more popular over the past few years and you find all sorts of folk on road trips across India stopping to eat there. You get the most amazing comfort food and that's just what I was in the mood for today.

I told Rhiannon how I'd never got round to getting a pestle and mortar, (even though I've desperately wanted one for a few years!) I guess my constant thinking about leaving England meant I have been putting off buying things like that. Since deciding that I wasn't going to leave the country for at least another 18 months, I don't feel bad about buying things, which are actually pretty useful. So anyway, Rhiannon got me this lovely pestle and mortar for my birthday earlier this month. I love it!

A nice, relaxing Sunday, and looking forward to my chicken with garlic nan for tea later tonight! Hope you're all having good weekends! :)
