Easter Sunday: Be Kind.
This crucifix was made by Patricia’s Great Uncle Domingo in Portugal, and has travelled to California, before coming to Scotland.
The Etymology of Old Portuguese "Domingo", from the Latin "dominīcus" from (diēs) Dominica (day of the Lord)
When Jesus prayed "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" there was no element of judgement at all. Jesus appealed to God to heal their minds.
Jesus explains the reasoning behind this in "A Course in Miracles".
I was first introduced to the Course by two very eminent theologians of very humble demeanour.
In these "worst of times" it is a prayer that we can all use for those who you believe are causing you grief in any shape or form. I am sure you can all think of many such candidates.
When we use this prayer, appealing for God to heal their minds, we are also healing our minds, for we are all of one mind.
A Course of Miracles is a course of study for Individuals to use. It is not a "cult". It is not a religion.
The only difference between a student and a teacher is time.
I have found this book very useful, as have many others, some who might be reading these words just now.
Please start. For those who are disinclined then, just BE KIND.
Finally, a Happy Easter, to all and to all your friends and relations.
