Hosta
As I sat in the garden with a cup of coffee this morning I couldn't help noticing how lovely this hosta was looking. Normally when I look at them, they've been decimated by slugs and snails but the crafty chief gardener has these raised up in a copper tub and they don't like that much.
Why are they so keen to eat hostas? It might be because they're related to asparagus so why wouldn't they? The Japanese have been eating them for centuries and when this ones a bit bigger I might boil it up for a nice soup!
