Gibraltar Point ------ Skegness!

Up early today to go birdwatching in Skegness. Saw lots but failed to see a Bittern and Bearded Tit! So out of pique thought I'd blip the yachts at Gibraltar Point! Also had an environment agency warning for flooding on the River Lud. Returned from an excellent and enjoyable birdwatching morning - in the sun- to check the river which was beginning to subside. Then went to a friend's 70th surprise party and probably drank a drop too much- as you do- needs must - for a friend's significant party! When I went to check the river levels was gutted to see a grey wagtail posing on the debris collected by the environment agency on a grid arranged before a bridge. If only I had had my camera- how often is that said?
A super day weather wise - blue skies and warm sun - what a treat.
