Welcome

I've seen these hand door-knockers in Ireland, France and Italy. Today we were welcomed by one to our Casa Rurale (holiday cottage) in the Canaries.

There's something very welcoming about this hand. P made me laugh when he picked up the hand and pretended to kiss it, as if it was a genteel lady.
