Old banger

I have been thinking cars over the last few days after our recent acquisition. This vieille bagnole or old set of wheels is a less common sight on French roads. The 2CV was a marvellous vehicle. I had three of them over the years. It was a versatile family car. You could take all the seats out for picnics, shift awkward loads and the ride was soft and comfortable if a little alarming around corners, It was as important and iconic to France and as the VW Beetle was to Germany.
