Flooding in Beverley

Serious shot today. Willow Grove in Beverley is flooding again. Every other week the fire service is being called to pump out the area. Very sad for this residents who only fairly recently finished repairs from the 2007 floods.

You cannot see it as the water is too deep, but in front of this railing is a 6 foot drop at least, so you can guess that there is a lot of water there. In 2007 the water was up to the letter boxes.

All of the guys you can see are council workers, but there around 20 guys there trying to hold back the water with sandbags. A mixture of council and volunteers.

Well done all of you! Unfortunately we have received a flood warning tonight. Let's hope I am not recording our own belongings getting a soaking tomorrow.
