Day 20 - Getting better every day - almost

She's getting ever so slightly more confident each day, and a whole hell of a lot more cute each day!  She still remains nameless as I get to know her but a few names keep popping into my mind.  Don't you just love her single white whisker?  And those beautiful amber eyes.  She survived the vacuum this afternoon so things are definitely looking up.

On a more sombre note, today was New Zealand's deadliest day with the loss of 4 more citizens.  Our death toll was almost doubled in a single day, which could have been a cause for concern had the 'recovered'  number not been our largest to date and our new cases the lowest in over 3 weeks. It seems we are turning a corner but with that turn come a host of new issues.  I'm beginning to feel quite strongly that the lock-down should be largely extended, but with just a little more 'give' for some businesses and for close family members to spend time with their critically ill relatives.  Some things just can't be replaced, and that special time is one of those things.

On a brighter note, inspired by Kitty's play, I too had a play tonight......see extras.  It came about from flicking through a book I have on optical illusions.......I began to wonder what some of them would look like as backdrops......?
