City Skyline

Walking through the woods this morning I was struck by the shadow being cast by the snapped tree trunk onto the sawn surface behind. I thought it looked remarkably like a city skyline with skyscrapers!

I rotated the image (to make the skyscrapers vertical) which resulted in a partial crop, and apart from a bit of sharpening this is SOOC. You can see the broken trunk (out of focus) in the foreground. I did take a second shot with the front part in focus and tried to blend them as one image, but it wasn’t very convincing.

I have a pot of Normandy Pork Casserole cooking - some for tea tonight and some for the freezer.
