The Easter Bunny. Life Between Windows.

The first question nearly every day is "What day is this?"  I do not think we are alone in asking that.

Luckily it is displayed on the screen of the tablet or phone.

Today is Shopping Delivery Day which arrived on the appointed time. The delivery man is very careful about keeping a healthy distance away.

Everything is laid at the doorstep. He then knocks on the door and stands 3 metres away to have a chat.

Today’s Blipfoto is of one of our Easter Rabbits. The sharp eyed amongst you might notice signs of a spiders web on the outside of the window.

There is a 70mm space between the double glazed inner windows and the original outer windows. The outer windows comprise about 2000 individual panes of glass and one of these panes has broken allowing spiders, butterflies, bees and the odd bird to fly in between the windows.

Two or three panes per year are broken by debris and the glazier will come every so often to repair them.

We are close to that time. At the same time the inner windows will be fully opened and the space in between cleaned together with the glass.

Spring cleaning indeed.

The outer surface of the outer windows is never cleaned. We did try it a couple of times. We soon learned that it made no difference if they were cleaned or not.

They tend to be self cleaning. I doubt most of them have ever been cleaned since the building was completed.

Another very cold day. Too cold for garden work. Perhaps tomorrow.

Stay safe.
