Evening light....

....as we came home from checking Mum was OK ( she was) and we had a great chat with her granddaughter in Texas who had just bought her first home ... also a FT tour ... just love how technology lets us keep in touch.
Especially as we heard today about the death of the husband of Mum’s oldest friend ( they’ve known each other 88 years). He was in a care home and died of natural causes but E hadn’t seen him for 4 weeks and won’t let her daughter visit her. Makes me very glad that mum actually needs us enough to justify going in each day .... at least my sisters and her grandchildren know she isn’t alone.
It’s been a lovely day again :)
