Howth Head
We left the city today using the DART train to get to Howth, just a twenty minute journey but a whole world away from the centre of Dublin. As seems almost always the case when I rendezvous with TJ, it has been a day of bright sunshine and sharp showers, fortunately more of the former than the latter. The wind blew strongly and although a lot milder than the weather we've had In England for the last few weeks it still felt pretty cold as we explored the bustling harbour and took a walk all the way around the peninsular. This is a view of Howth Head and Baily Lighthouse looking south across Dublin Bay.
After being out all day in the weather we are both feeling quite weary, but we are blipping and running now for an evening out in town. I owe TJ a hearty meal. She didn't get her breakfast until midday (which was just a muffin) and had to wait until 5pm for her next bite to eat! Not entirely my fault, but I feel like I need to make amends. Has all that snow disappeared now? It's felt strange today not to be walking on white stuff!
