Big thaw

This morning the thaw and rain had the beck at the bottom of the garden out of its banks! No danger to the house at this point, the wind was strong and the rain lashing and heavy, luckerly only in short bursts. The roads as I went to service Millers stable, had riverlets a yard wide streaming down from the Wolds. On the way home at just before midday by a slightly different route, I came across the above! There is a dike by the gate post which should join the beck on my left, under the road was taking its' self a short cut down and across the road. In the background you can see the Wolds still with a fair covering of snow. When I went back to give Miller his tea and night check, the temperature had dropped and so had the water levels ( a bit ), but almost every field had large areas reflecting the shine of the full moon, could be slippy again for a while in the morning.
Take care one and all ;¬}
