Melting
... and leaving a wonderful show of farming history by way of high-lighting ridge and furrow.
I love the snow and the beautiful scenery it brings and am saddened when it turns mucky and looses its beauty.
I appreciate it causes chaos for a lot of people and for all those who have suffered flooding over recent months it can only herald more to come as it melts, last night's rain has not made the situation any better, save for clearing the snow from the roads.
The farming/food industry is being hit in a major way, all the rain last year stripping the ground of it's minerals and nutrients making the food produced from the land a poorer and less beneficial crop.
All that aside, I've had a fab weekend, yesterday with my ace kids and their partners doing lunch together and today collecting donkey muck this morning and this afternoon spending time with my fellow volunteers from Oxfam at a belated Xmas drinks at our fab managers house.
Aaand came home to a roast lamb dinner cooked by my fab husband.
Life is good!
