Woodland walk

We did our usual longer walk this morning which passes through this small area of woodland.  I remember when this was simply a field but it was planted with trees about twenty years ago.  They were very small at first but have soon grown up and we occasionally see deer, foxes and hares in here.  But not today.  I don't know whether it is intended as just a wood or if it was planted as a crop; although these aren't (to my knowledge) willows, there is a willow plantation nearby where the trees are grown specifically to make cricket bats.
