There was only one thing to blip today - the last of the snow, glistening in the sunlight. Just to remember it was actually here, if only for a short time.

There was so much of it yesterday, but heavy rain overnight has washed most of it away (*sulks*). I wish it had stuck around just a little bit longer. Just long enough to have some more sledging fun. All for H's benefit, of course, not mine (honest).

So, with no snow to play in when we got up, we opted for a lazy morning. Duvets downstairs, pjs, TV and the odd game of Guess Who. This afternoon we had my Goddaughter's 5th birthday party. It was a gymnastic themed affair, and apart from a head collision with another boy and a resulting swollen cheek bone, H had a ball. We went back to the birthday girl's house afterwards for coffee and a slice of this amazing cake, handmade by the birthday girl's mum, the rather lovely AliBee herself! She's very talented.

Back to reality tomorrow. Work. Bleurghhhh.
