artificial or real

One of the vases contain real wilting roses, left over from Mother's Day and one is an artificial version.

I bought the artificial ones for my grandma who left us a long time ago, which she accepted gracefully - but I later found out that she hated them, just didn't get why anyone would want replicas of dying flowers! (many may think the same thing)

I've always liked them so they have been back with me ever since :)
She was delighted to get rid of them in the same way a present, I gave her when I was 10, disappeared mysteriously after several years!

I've always thought that decaying beauty holds a certain beauty of its own, even though these a fake, they still evoke that feeling.
