Looking west
I was feeling a bit reluctant as I headed off for my morning walk just a little later than usual. The sun was shining, the sky almost cloudless and a slight chill in the air. As it wasn't so windy I decided to walk along the coastal footpath for awhile and see what wide angled views I could take for todays challenge. Thanks to Freyjad for hosting with a theme of local landscape. This is the view looking west towards Budleigh Salterton. Walking further up the hill I noticed that the sea thrift is now in flower and later took some time watching a skylark flying or hovering not too far above me but I had the wide angle lens on so no photo but lovely to watch. It was very quiet and still as I enjoyed the panoramic views. Only one couple passed me on the coastal footpath but as I retraced my footsteps back to the bridge where several choices of route exist people suddenly came into view but we all took the appropriate distancing measures.
Back home the compost delivery arrived and later that afternoon I attempted to drive to a local supermarket but the car wouldn't start. The breakdown service was called out and confirmed that the battery wasn't holding its charge, so the car is now awaiting a new one. So glad there are some garages still operating. We had a zoom photography club meeting which went well so this is likely to be the norm for now at least.
