Lines and Masks
I went on another expedition, trying to see how people handle social distancing and lines going into stores. This will be another ongoing series in my "life in the times of coronavirus" project.
It was interesting to me that both the people waiting to go in and those monitoring the client numbers were way more friendly and relaxed at "blue collar" stores (e.g. home wares and construction stuff) than at organic grocery stores. The former were chatty and had views about the current situation as well as a 'this too shall pass' attitude; the latter seemed stressed, borderline hysterical and not interested at all in interacting. I'm guessing this whole thing will be much harder on the latter...
