Halo

Churchill, Manitoba, Canada: a complete sun halo - 22 degrees from the sun in all directions.  This is caused by small ice crystals high in the atmosphere.  The same thing causes "sun dogs" - bright spots looking like secondary suns to the left and the right, though this isn't seen here.
