Lady at the Window

This lady was happy enough when I smiled and waved on my way to the Post Office, but my photo has caught her squinting in the morning sun. 

I’ve found that villagers smile and wave all the time now; perhaps it’s partly in embarrassment at walking around each other in such exaggerated fashion.
