Wedding cake topper

After spending too long on my assessment this morning, I finally got round to sorting out the boxes I brought back from Wales after my dad dies, nearly three years ago. Haven't really had the heart to do it before.

Found this, which must have been the wedding cake topper at mum and dad's wedding. Unfortunately it's quite bashed up, so it's going to have to go in the bin, but it's really quite beautiful. They got married in 1959, so it's been around for a while.

Had quite a successful time sorting things out, so the coal hole is in a lot better shape. Even did some sorting in the kitchen, but will finish that off tomorrow or Saturday as rain is forecast.
