High tide, and a blackout!

Our bad-weather, long-weekend combination continued yesterday and after being out and about in the shocking weather for a while (taking photos and buying last minute bits and pieces for my son, who starts back at school on Tuesday) I added my photos to my blog post then logged into blip. I was actually nice and early for a change, it hadn't even gone dark!

I was just about to congratulate "Dolphin" on her 200th blip when Wham! off went the power!

Thank goodness the roast in the electric oven was cooked enough to eat! We have a gas cook top, so cooking veges wasn't a problem and we ate dinner by candle light. After dinner, I read by torch light....

The power never did come back on last night at all, so I had an early night.

The weather is pretty horrendous and high tide yesterday was extremely high, as you can see by how close it is to the jetty.

Thinking today an indoor blip may be the way to go.... :)

PS Don't worry about the dark splodge on the top right hand corner of this photo, it's just rain on the camera lens! I couldn't avoid it.
