Watch Dog

Bella stood guard while I read. It was a cool, gorgeous day that started with a frost. Luckily we had covered the tomato plants yesterday afternoon. The carpenters are not quite halfway through with the roof. It’s a slow go on a house that’s at least 116 years old.
I didn’t cook lunch for the workers today like I did the last two days but I did thaw out a frozen chocolate pound cake. They seemed to enjoy the snack.
We had a big laugh when the carpenter left his truck door open and Princess, a little white chicken hopped right in! :—)
