Dreaming of Hydrangeas

I recently bought this colorful rug  with blue hydrangeas on it to brighten up a doorway, and to give Angus a soft place to lay.  At first Angus laid there, but now Scout has moved in.  What you are seeing is the Great Hydrangea Stand Off between Angus & Scout.  It took a little while,  but all is well.  Now they both have a soft place to lay, as they keep my husband company.

When I look at the rug, I can day dream about the years in Michigan when we grew every variety of Hydrangea that could thrive despite the harsh winters.  Even the blue Hydrangea macrophylla that grew on the edge of the woods; & we could see  from the house.  It's now on this rug, making me happy every day.
