Friday's painting...

... my daily painting challenge for today is on the SketchClubApp.

It is from a statue in the grounds of St Bees Priory.
It is a very eerie statue. It was early evening. I was on my own. I had gone for one of my little excursions of a few days away.

The eyes of the different children on the statue follow you. They open and close. At least that is what it looks like...

So I took photos and videos...and even on my videos the eyes still appeared to follow you and open and close.

I wanted to get that feeling in this painting today...it has taken me around two hours...
