Getting there...

The flowers on our clematis plant are slowly beginning to open. It will look lovely in a week or so! This one does flower quite early and I always wish it blossomed later in the summer, but this year I’m so happy to see it!

Normally we are so busy at this time of the year and I’d travel to visit the girls or we’d be off on an early passage in the boat to Islay and Jura. Now that we’re home the garden is getting way more attention than usual. The Ards Man is one of those folk who can’t sit still and always has to be doing something, so he’s been out in the garden for hours most days.

We’re going to bbq this evening, so that will be a good start to the weekend! In fact, it will remind us that it is the weekend as one day slides seamlessly into the next at the moment and we often have to ask what day it is.
