Flower Friday: Pearl Bush (Exochorda Racemosa)

We've had this shrub for several years, and it always gives us a lovely display of its white flowers at this time of year. (We're pretty sure that I've given it the correct name, but if any blippers know differently please feel free to put me right.)

Assuming we've got the name right, according to Wikipedia it's native to China and central Asia (Turkestan) but it seems to like the environment in our garden (unlike many plants that we try to grow!).

The weather's been dry but cloudy quite a lot of the time, however the sun shone when I went out to take the photo (that's unusual - usually it hides behind a cloud as soon as I venture out, camera in hand!). Why such a short exposure? - the wind was blowing it around like mad!

Thanks as always to our Flower Friday host, BikerBear Anni.
