Feeding frenzy
This afternoon a swan attacked me.
I had just stopped to take some photos of students feeding the seagulls on Airthrey loch (Stirling university) when I felt something grab my arm.
It was a very big and aggressive swan.
I am not sure whether he thought I had food or he was just protecting his territory.
Startled, I dropped my stick (its 12 weeks today since I had hip replacement) but every time I bent to try and pick it up the swan grabbed me.
Fortunately a passing stranger, a man with a dog, called out:
“ Are you alright?”
“No”
“Walk away, and I will get your stick.”
Now the swan dived at him, hissing with wings flapping.
But he rescued my stick.
Phew!
