Apropos

I have been working on this painting for a number of days.  Thank you to Hettycat for giving me permission to use her photograph. I was so drawn to the love and tenderness in the photo and today it seems even more meaningful.  My daughter who is pregnant with twins went into the hospital last night because her water broke early, only 33 weeks along.  So they are keeping her in the hospital until she delivers, giving the babies steroids to develop their lungs and her antibiotics to keep her well.  

I wish I could be there, but the hospital won't allow visitors.  Her husband can come twice a week for an hour (maybe two!) but that's it. 

So this painting is for her, my sweet Amanda.
