The perfect photo

My two favourite subjects - bales and snow - in the same photo. (and the skis on my feet are just out of shot).

A wonderful clear, cold, still morning for an early morning ski around the field - this is on the other side of our neighbours house, about 50m from our back door. I really need to get some proper cross-country skis - my alpine telemarks are designed for going up and down steepish hills, and most of the countryside around here is just rolling.

Sadly I couldn't spent the day frolicking in the snow - too many DIY tasks to achieve - but I did admire a lovely pink-snowed sunrise throught the upstairs window.

Also took a short break mid-afternoon to walk around the edges of our fields so I now know exactly where I am entitled to shout "Get orf my land!"
