Pinned

This morning I found a wild cherry tree, smashed down by this fir in the Snowpocalypse of last year. To my amazement, the cherry tree is still kicking...14 months later! New growth shoots up off of the pinned trunk. I cut the fallen fir off of it... and I swear I heard a sigh.
