Erythronium dens-canis

Day 77 - dogs tooth violet - I think it gets its common name from the shape of its bulb.  The latin name erythronium however comes from the Greek meaning "red" and referring to the colour of the petals.  Were they colour blind?
The extra is a better picture of the Greater Stitchwort that I originally included in March with a very poor picture.  Flower still not very clear but at least you can see the leaves.
