Grandmother Amaryllis

Surprised me last night with this sudden flower bud that emerged after a good water. She'd produced masses of leaf and no flower so I'd consigned her to the cold of my bedroom.

We've rain here at last, though not enough. We could do with a day of steady downpour. I'm legging it off to get blackbird more mealworm. My usual cheap, easy, nearby source being closed.
