Neighborhood Walk

What a pleasure to meet up with RavensRoost for a walk and to enjoy art on neighborhood buildings. A quiet local grocery store was open and we decided to enter to purchase a few items. In addition to our masks, we put on plastic gloves provided by the store, kept 6 ft apart from others, and at check-out the clerk and I commented on the new plastic barrier between us hampering conversation and connection. 
Simple pleasures, essential tasks and familiar assumptions take on new meaning during this pandemic. I wonder how "normal" will be restored.
