On the wall inside
Today is the day we mark the establishment of the Auckland Province; the closest Monday to the 29th of January. Anniversary Day has been Monday-ised in order to give those whose jobs allow it, a holiday. Known as a Public Holiday in New Zealand, and a Bank Holiday in the UK (I think they are the same).
I have had a quiet day, although we did have lunch on the deck in the sun with a niece and her young man. Daughter C and her boys were also with us. Afterwards I managed to finish the Saturday Kropotkin crossword puzzle, giving a feeling of satisfaction.
Then late this afternoon I took a run along Ponsonby Road; after the main daytim crowds had gone and before the evening people arrive. I saw one or two other possibilities for the One Street project started by Kendall. Additionally I have already blipped Cafe Cezanne, and I have tried not to be repetitive.
However, this picture really calle out to be taken, and having looked at the result, I really like the vibrancy of the colours and the customers at two of the tables. The cafe is famous for its murals, and only a hint of this one could be seen in the November photo. Well worth looking at large.
This is another of my photograhs taken on Ponsonby Road. It is also continues the cafe series
