Eric ran low on a prescription drug, so we called it in and drove to the pharmacy on Interstate to pick it up. There, they have turned half the ground floor of a parking garage into a pickup place for prescriptions. it worked well: you pull into a parking space, they come to your window, just like at an old drive-in restaurant, take your “order,” leave and before long return with a bag of pills for you. The only glitch was that the “carhop” wasn’t wearing a mask. Others, directing traffic or answering questions, wore masks and gloves.
