Cardamine pratensis flora plena
aka Cuckoo flower, Lady's smock, Milkmaids. It took ages to identify this wild flower, a gift from the birds, in my garden. Most of the examples on the internet show 4 petals, but mine seems to be a double. It's very pretty, delicate and has edible leaves (I haven't tried it} It's the county flower of Cheshire and is alleged to herald the first hearing of the cuckoo.
