A walk in the park

Took a little detour through the playing fields this morning. These three Spur-winged Plovers were having a stroll too. Their name is a misnomer as they are really lapwings and are not to be confused with the African bird of the same name. Anyway even though they are shorebirds they hang around urban parkland as well as the usual wetlands. Also in extras is a general view of the beach with the local human population enjoying their Sunday morning exercise.
