Bell Hill
The 5 km circular walk round Bell Hill is my closest circular route without roads. Old tracks used by people and bikes. Lots of cherry blossom today.
Made unsuccessful pizza bases, son R says I should have rolled them out between greaseproof paper and not tried to whiz them round like you see in the pizza shops. Watching Luther on iplayer starting with series 1.We've not seen it not before.
Day 31
888 deaths in hospital bring those deaths up to 15,464 although there are rumours of possibly another 4000 deaths in total in care homes. Chatted with son R in Edinburgh. Interestingly the worst incidence per head of the population in Scotland is not Edinburgh and Glasgow. The maps show Tayside and Borders as having higher rates but you will have more cases if you do more tests. This may be the case with Cumbria which has the highest incidence/head rate outside London. The row over PPE continues. 400,000 items of kit expected from Turkey imminently, one wonders why they don't need them there. Apparently we sent PPE to China in the early days. That was short sighted.
Government directive to Councils to keep parks and cemeteries open.
Ambulance paramedic in the NW dies. One of Mr P's nephews is a paramedic in the SW, incidence rate there is low, he is young and fit so we hope he will be safe, given his wife is pregnant.
Continuing disquiet over above average deaths in the black and asian communities.
