Good Morning Marmot!

Why he did not see me, I have no idea! Not even a warning whistle from him! He had clearly just woken from hibernation. No other marmots were about on the way up to the Pas de Cheville. I was up there searching for a herd of male bouquetins that had been spotted two days ago but no luck. On the way down a solitary male chamois was having his lunch between avalanche debris and patches of pink heather in extra.

Hope your weekend has been good despite the restrictions. My sister and brother-in-law were supposed to have arrived here today. At least I was able to tell her that the forecast is not so good for the next few days!
