Kalkbaai
My stepmother in law wanted to visit Kalkbaai, so that is where we went. This huge seal was posing in the harbour. While we were busy taking photos of him a cow and their pup joined him on the lower steps. I thought he was an unusually handsome seal.
We had lunch at the famous restaurant "the Brass Bell", which is built right on the quay. The waves literally splashes up in front of the windows. Their food is absolutely delicious. On the way back we drove the dangerous Chapman's Peak road, which has been very much in the news due to a controversial toll-pay building. It is a stunning road.
Back in Cape Town we went for a short walk at the Bloubergrant beach, because it looked so inviting with all the surfers and the white sand, but it was very windy and quite cool and the water was ice cold. I just could not understand how the surfers could survive...
