A treat for breakfast - a homemade sausage and egg McMuffin - very tasty it was too.

Out for a walk with Miss PHL and saw this beautiful gorse bush and thought it looked good against the blue sky.

Home to wash sheets from one of the beds - all dried in the sun and back on the bed before dinner. I’d left some shoulder steak in the slow cooker all day and after thickening the gravy with some cornflour, turned it into a rather delicious steak pie for dinner.

Made another load using a packet mix we discovered at the back of the cupboards whilst looking fir the brownie mix we’d got at Christmas. No mix turned up but the kids made brownies from scratch using the last of the eggs - yum very moreish. It was fun watching them work together.,

Played Trivial Pursuit after dinner and Mr PHL finally won after we’d been through the question pack a couple of tunes - phew!

Just having a cup of tea and a piece of brusque before heading for bed - hope you’ve had a good weekend.
