Birch bees

A walk round the streets with eco mum and the dogs.

Picked up plants for apiary from the plot.

Slow cooked a leg of venison.

Some hive maintenance before heading to out apiary.

Planted the bee friendly plants and scattered seeds of poppies and borage.

Went through the hives doing a full check. 3 weak hives and 7 doing ok.

Replaced hives and brought some home for maintenance.

Spotted the bees on the sap from recent birch felling. Laird gave me the birch planks for eco mum's garden table project.

Home and great dinner.

Out to water the allotment.
