a knotty issue

i was going to blip some early blossom in the sunshine spotted in my lunch hour, but this clematis sums up what's been occupying my mind all day: a rather knotty situation. i won't go into it for many reasons, suffice to say it's something i've been thinking about for a while but didn't imagine i'd have to deal with - then today there was an off-the-cuff remark and a conversation ensued... there's good and bad to each option, guess i'll just have to keep niggling at it til it the solution comes loose.
