The statue, created by Kerry Morrison in 1992 and updated in 2011, depicts a bottle of Vimto surrounded by the fruits and spices used in its production. In 1908 herbalist Noel Nichols made his very first barrel of Vimto in a terraced house on Granby Row. Vimto started life as Vim Tonic; a health tonic , it was even registered as a medicine and marketed as a drink to to give 'vim' and vigour. Still made to a secret recipe the drink is now a global product worth £200 million.
