LD 23 Shopping

Today is the first time we've been food shopping in 10days.

Sadly we had to go to three shops to get all we needed. First shop was a local farm shop. They were absolutely fantastic. Fresh stock, measures in place and basically only 3 people there when we were there! A success and supporting local business!

Then Lidl... pretty good. Lots to be had and not many in the shop and no queue to get in.

Then, sadly, a mainstream supermarket. NIGHTMARE! We will be avoiding that in the future! This is the queue towards the end but had been in it for about 10 minutes beforehand. All the way at the end of the carpark. Luckily it was sunny but we'll be sticking to the smaller places and just go without major brands (which to be fair we try to avoid anyway).

The best bit of the day was noticing the local Baynes the bakers, next to the Lidl was open! We got treats for lunch. Steak bakes and macaroni pies all round. Superb cleanliness in the store! It's the little things that cheer you up!
