No Trains Stop Here, Buses Only.
The now defunct railway station on the border of Histon/Impington, Cambs, opened in 1847 and was a branch of the Great Eastern Railway, Cambs to St Ives (Hunts.) It closed in 1970 as part of the Beeching Axe. The station ws partly demolished for a car park and to aid the construction of the Guided Busway. It was saved by public demand and is due to be refurbished and let out to business. So if you want to travel from this station it will have to be by bus. I have used this bus myself and although it doesn't link the villages that the train used to, it is a quick way to get about.
