half creation's endless story
Keeping up the 'rainbow theme' from yesterday; thought I'd blip a verse from the Australian Poet, Raymond Curtis - you can read a bit more about him here ...
... the (hazy!) snap shows a 1989 original edition of his 'Double Rainbow' poetry volume, which I'm pleased to say is also signed by the author - here's the title poem:
Double Rainbow
There is a small difference between
the present and the time that's been.
Only another way of knowing;
only another way of showing
that which satisfies our mind ....
Leaving outworn thoughts behind.
So when we coax the light of stars
Between a prism's crystal bars;
reading within that coloured glory
half creation's endless story;
See, behind that spectral light,
the Rainbow Serpent coiled and bright.
