Wheel Life
Here we have another of the aged cardboard collectors/recyclers I've talked about before.
Owing to it's pretty high proportion of old folks, they are a very common sight in and around my neighbourhood - the nearby downtown area is also the top spot for seeking out all things litter.
Lucy got talking to one of these women by our house a while back - a tiny, bent-double old soul who appears to be Korea's oldest woman. We now store up our recycling and she picks it up once a week, wheeling it over to the nearby scrapyard in a small shopping buggy.
We always try to give her a gift of some fruit or Korean side dishes, and were surprised when she refused some radish kimchi last week.
'I don't eat radish', she exclaimed.
'Oh, you don't like radishes? Asked Lucy.
'Oh no, I like them - I just haven't got any teeth!'
Heartrending stuff.
